Tak zeby wzbudzic troche polsko-niemieckiej milosci. Fragment maila ktory dostalem niedawno od Pierra, sedziego glownego z zeszlego roku.
I dont believe we had a chance so far to come back to what happened on sunday evening in Modena last year. Maybe I did make allusions, but I want to make sure we went through the details of this. I didnt want to get into the details on the day in order not to spoil your well deserved victory, but I feel you should know and probably share it with your team, at least partly.
It turned out that Mr Kayu gathered other captains influence to trigger an extraordinary captains council before round 6 in order to penalize the Polish team for an allegedly 'collective bad behaviour' on the tables.
I was surprised, to say it with english understatement...I immediatly confered with Stefano and Alberto on the matter, and our answer to this plea was a collective and unanimous 'No way'. Out of diplomacy, I checked this with the other captains and explained to them what was going on and what our decision was.To smoothen things with Kayu who was pretty pissed off and seemed to have received strong backup amongst captain, I seeked out the help of Felix aka General Grundmann to explain to him the position of the referal corp and the smelly implications and schemes behind such a plea. He bravely proceeded to explain that to his psychotic captain that he shouldnt push the matter, and so we had a much smoother sunday evening than we could have fear to have at one time in the afternoon...
If I'm sharing this with you, it is because of the amount of grumbles I received from other captains. I dont doubt that most of it was kinda say...opportunistic grumbling tantamount to insurgency and deserving immediate execution for heresy :d Kayu will be black listed from now on for this and his laughingly despisable temper (still one detail I'm reserving for Munster, very funny how such a fool the guy behaved then). Most of the other captains involved will be black listed for other reasons, Austria because he has too big a mouth when he adressees referee, Kommissar because he is a slow-playing snake, and my dear comrade Kuwanan (who cant seem to be able to shake my hand any more) because he grossly ignored fair play in round 6. I cannot remember exactly who else complained, but believe me there was a frightening majority. The spanish I tend to believe did complain more our of kindof cultural shock. Jocke supported you of course when I quietly asked for his opinion.
Yet if you managed to gather so many grumbles against you, there is probably something you can do about it to avoid it next year. The referal corp watched you as closely as the others, and maybe a bit more as you were clearly and soon shooting for the top. We found nothing important really, hence our position. I believe what annoyed a lot of other players, was the tendency you guys had to gather around the still playing tables when the games were finished. I dont doubt the referees in Munster will pay more attention (and hopefully with more manpower too) to avoid the interferences this can gather, but of course, you can prevent it by making your team aware of the importance of their behaviour on AND off their own games. I dont doubt you will and will as such set an example of playing competitivly but with the fun of your opponents in mind, and winning with a low profile
